Printmaking

The printmaking project gave students a chance to learn about mass production in artwork. To start this project we had discussion on types of mass produced artwork and the impact it has on art. Students started by sketching out four different ideas of a subject and background that they could use to create their own block to print with. They then transferred their favorite design on to a piece of foam using a dull pencil. Once the background color was printed the subject was cut out of the foam and printed on top of the background in a different color.
